eCommerce Trusted Datacorridors

Providing customs organisations voluntary access to trusted shipment data before, during and after transportation allows for better customs trade facilitation.

Network of Trusted Networks

In the Pharma Data Corridor Living Lab we are currently working on, logistics companies in the Global Health supply chain, Dutch Customs, and Port Community Systems are working together as the “Network of Trusted Networks”. Pharmaceutical shipments from India to the Netherlands are fully visible for Customs during entire pill journey, using federated data exchange based on the Dutch BDI.

The key use cases supported by the pharma data corridor are end-to-end supply chain visibility, pattern development for a data-driven and layered enforcement strategy, and operational efficiency.

This Living Lab is taking the first step in this direction with a pilot and a showcase using real data. The promising perspective is outlined as follows:

  • For Dutch Customs, an improved information position and a “yellow flow” to implement its enforcement strategy and facilitate reliable business.
  • For businesses, a (more) predictable, fully compliant, and controlled, flexible pharmaceutical supply chain.
  • For the facilitating international PCSs and their (air)port communities: new added-value services and new users through collaboration and a network effect; the network of trusted networks.
